The smartest strategy I've come up with is tank and smack. If I clear out the enemy and there's a pause before the next ship I'll turn them away to open the distance a little again. This gets the strongest bow guns in on the action but runs the risk of them moving too close and becoming preferred targets. When the enemy closes to gun range I turn the munition ships towards the enemy and put their speed on the slowest and set the attack posture to high. It's a tossup as to whether the Cylons will target the BS or the Janus. As an example, I'll have my battlestars forming the line of battle and my Rangers and Januses would be behind and above the fleet. You have some that are meant for broadsides and some that are meant for frontal fire. Tldr the story is alright and have a few great moments but the stories you can make with the ships you build and name can be even more exciting. That's kind of the pickle with the colonial designs. >!Battlestar Galactica! Message the Moderators <-ġ: The game is canon slitherin got the license to make and publish the game so it is canonĢ: the story is alright with some really great moments (especially with operate clean sweep in the ghost fleet offensive dlc just imagine the gigantic battle that went down there is pretty fun) sense you can name your ships, fleets officer, have crew veterancy and transfer your ships to the next camping it make for some interesting stories for the ships you create and name, such as my Jupiter class battlestar thunderchild that I got at the end of the base camping and it carried me through to the resurrection campaign where at the beginning I deleted it and built a mk2 jupiter(pretending like it got the refits) it quickly gained max experience than came the battle of caprica where a cylon Basestars group that outnumbered Bsg-69 (Thunderchild's Battlestar group) it was going well at first but then the cylons lunched nukes at close range damage and destroying several ships which caused the battle to turn the Thunderchild covered for one of my adamants' the forward unto dawn this action caused more damage to the Thunderchild but it allowed the frigate to escape and jump to safety but my artemis(Night Flight) was super damage and about to be destroyed but then came the hero ship Thunderchild to the rescue pegasus still it's front batteries cut down Revenant and the dorsal guns bashed an Arachne into submission, saving the night flight by this point I realized that it is time to retreat so I orderd whats left of my fleet to retreat but to my horror I find out that the Thunderchild can't retreat due to hacking qnd damage sustained to the engines so In a moment of dewp sadness I ordere Thunderchild on a collision course with a cylon Basestar so there it is, the Thunderchild on fire blasting away at cylon ships acting as a distraction and covering for the fleet's retreat takeing out a nemesis and ramming the cylon Basestar going out in a blaze of glory the fleet BSG-69 remembers the heroics of it's flagship the Thunderchild and strives to live up to it's legacy.
